My Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Debut novel, The Curious Tale of Gabrielle was intriguing and refreshingly original.

Gabrielle, a young girl with an inquisitive nature, ventures into an antique shop on her thirteenth birthday. Gabrielle wonders through rows upon rows of old books and relics from the past.  Stumbling upon an old secretaire.  Where she finds a mysterious bracelet and meets the elderly shop owner, Alexandra.  There is something peculiar about her but Gabriel is intrigued by the woman.
